In a celebration exemplifying love, unity, and admiration, the Deputy-Governor of Cross River State, H.E. Peter O. Odey, members of the G-17 Group of the Cross River State House of Assembly (CRSHA), who stand for equity, fairness, and justice, constituents, and students from various tertiary institutions, honored the member representing Etung State Constituency, Hon. Kingsley Isong Ntui, on the occasion of his birthday.

The diverse gathering of captains of industry, the political class, friends, well-wishers, and students took place on July 26, 2024, at his residence in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

Eulogizing the celebrant, H.E. Odey praised Hon. Ntui’s steadfast commitment to the welfare of his constituents, detailing numerous initiatives that have spurred significant development in his constituency.

Speaking on behalf of the G-17, the philanthropist Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT) of the group, and member representing the good people of Yakurr I State Constituency, Hon. Cyril Omini, commended Hon. Ntui’s exceptional political acumen, transformative influence in his constituency, and worthwhile contributions to the 10th Assembly.

Constituents from various communities across party lines took turns expressing gratitude and appreciation for his efforts in transforming their lives, sharing stories of his policies and initiatives that have culminated in tangible improvements in agriculture, healthcare, education, and overall quality of life.

Friends echoed sentiments and eulogies, recounting stories that highlighted his humility, generosity, and relentless pursuit of the wellbeing of others. They praised his role in mentoring emerging politicians and his steadfast commitment to transparency within the legislative framework.

The presence of students from various tertiary institutions added a youthful energy to the celebration. These young scholars expressed profound admiration for his advocacy for education and youth empowerment. They acknowledged his continued support for student-led initiatives, scholarships, and programs designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders, highlighting the deep bond they share with him.

In his response, Hon. Ntui expressed appreciation for the overwhelming show of love and support. He reiterated his commitment to serving his constituents, stressing that the honor was not just his, but belonged to everyone who has supported and believed in his vision.

In a heartwarming display of generosity and community spirit, the honorable member earlier visited an orphanage and the student community at the University of Calabar, reflecting his commitment to giving back to society and supporting the youth.

The celebration was interspersed with cultural music, performances, and classical renditions, culminating in a grand banquet where attendees mingled and shared pleasantries.
