Former Militant Commander Disassociates from Planned Protest

The former Militant Commander of the Niger-Delta Youths Movement, General Gabriel Asabuja, has disassociated himself and his Movement from the ongoing planned protest against the government of Nigeria.

In his statement, Gen. Gabriel Asabuja, publicly broadcast from his Asabuja Entertainment Centre in Port-Harcourt, said that he found much misconceptions attached to the planned protest, which may lead to vandalism and civil unrest in the society.

Gen. Asabuja emphasized that his Movement would not be part of any protest that could potentially cause disruption and violence in the country. He called on the organizers of the planned protest to reconsider their actions and find more constructive ways to address their grievances with the government.

The former militant commander urged the youth in the region to remain peaceful and law-abiding, and to work towards the development and progress of the Niger-Delta area through legitimate and non-violent means.
