S. A. on Inter-Party Affairs Continues the Distribution of Palliative to Political Parties in Cross River State.

In continuation of the distribution of palliatives to political parties by the Cross River State Government, the Special Adviser on Inter-Party Affairs, Hon. Nkoyo Otu, on 29th July, 2024, presented palliative to the Agting State Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Eugene Bessong Obia, in the presence of key stakeholders of the party.

In her opening remarks, Hon. Nkoyo conveyed the Governor’s hands-on approach and ongoing support for political parties within the state.

“I am here to present palliative to the Agting State Chairman of the Labour Party in the presence of stakeholders of the party, as directed by the Governor of Cross River State, H.E Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu,” she announced.

Receiving the palliatives on behalf of the Labour Party, Mr. Eugene expressed profound gratitude to the Cross River State Government for the support.

“We are happy for such a gesture from the government of Cross River State. Please extend our gratitude to the Governor, His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu,” he stated.

Further emphasizing the significance of the gesture, the Acting State Secretary, Mr. Allen Ene Ekpe, also commended the administration.

“We want to thank Governor Bassey Edet Otu’s administration for the palliatives. Governor Otu is a man of his word, and his administration is about the ‘People First,'” he remarked.

Adding to the chorus of appreciation, Hon. Alvin Ochang, a major stakeholder of the Labour Party, praised Hon. Nkoyo Otu for her role in facilitating the palliative distribution.

“As Special Adviser on Inter-Party Affairs to the Governor, you’re an ambassador of the Labour Party. We are happy for the kind gesture and please extend our gratitude to His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the Executive Governor of Cross River State,” he said.

Representing the women of the party, Mrs. Happiness Effiong expressed profound gratitude to the Governor and the Special Adviser.

“I wish to thank God Almighty and the Governor for giving us the Special Adviser on Inter-Party Affairs, fulfilling his campaign promise to us as a party,” she stated.

As the Special Adviser on Inter-Party Affairs continues to execute her duties, the gesture has set a positive precedent for the administration’s engagement with political entities.
