Gunmen reportedly attacked the police headquarters in Adamawa State in the early hours of today, November 22. The police station is located in the heart of Jimeta community in Yola North local government area.
The Residents that are near to the police station that was attacked this morning have called for help through media outreach.
According to statement, the attack had been repelled, but the identity of those behind it was unknown
The media report that the attackers were soldiers seeking revenge after the police killed a soldier. It was impossible to independently verify whether military officials were involved.
However, police said an investigation is underway to ascertain the cause and motive behind the attack.
