Abdulkadir Jelani Danbuga, a member of the Sokoto state House of Representatives and federal representative for the Isa-Sabon Birni congressional district, has passed away.
On the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, he was elected as a first-time member of the House.
According to DailyTrust, the lawmaker passed away on Wednesday, October 11, around 12:30 am, following a brief illness.He reportedly fell ill on Tuesday and was given a treatment admission to an undisclosed hospital.
The lawmaker’s body was transported to Sokoto to be buried in accordance with Islamic customs.
House spokesperson, Hon.The incident was confirmed by Akin Rotimi, who added that the death was announced on the lawmakers’ platform this morning.A statement on the incident, he said, would soon be released.
