PRESS RELEASE

RE-HON. KINGSLEY NTUI ASSURED OF SPEAKER ROLE BY GOVERNOR AND SENATOR VICTOR NDOMA EGBA

Our attention has been drawn to a misleading and false news article titled, “Hon. Kingsley Ntui Assured of Speaker Role by Governor and Senator Victor Ndoma Egba,” and published by the blog “GISTSMATE” and circulated by mischief makers. The article falsely claims that our principal, Hon. Kingsley Ntui, representing the people of Etung in the Cross River State House of Assembly (CRSHA), has been endorsed by our revered leader, Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, and our respected statesman, Distinguished Senator Victor Ndoma Egba, to serve as Speaker of the 10th Assembly.

This deceptive claim follows the recent impeachment and removal of the previous speaker by a 2/3 majority of the hallowed chamber on legitimate grounds.

We strongly condemn this article as fictitious, inciting, and delusive, with the potential to create discord and disunity in the polity.

It is important to stress that Hon. Kingsley Ntui remains focused on serving and delivering the dividends of democracy to his constituents, whose mandate he holds in trust. This commitment is evident in the recent launch of the historic Etung Strategic/Economic Development Plan, a roadmap for harnessing the abundant natural resources and human potential of Etung.

We call on all law-abiding members of the public, especially our respected constituents, to disregard such fake and fictitious articles propagated by individuals who do not mean well for our dear Cross River State.

We deeply appreciate your continued support and legitimacy, especially in challenging times such as these.

Thank you, and God bless us all.
