As 3 people have been reportedly killed while others are injured as the farmers remained to be casualties in the hands of the armed bandits herdsmen in Taraba state of Nigeria.
The Hon. Commissioner for Social Justice and Re-integration in the cabinet of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, Governor of Taraba State, Hon. Commissioner Filister I. Musa, has regrets this act of bloodshed in Taraba state.
Dr Filister, in her statement, she express concern over the attacks and killing of farmers by armed Herdsmen in Taraba state, Nigeria.
She explained that contant violence affecting farmers and communities are indeed tragic and concerning.
It is important to acknowledge the impact these incidents have on individuals, families, and the overall societal dynamics.
The Commissioner told Hintusmedia.com that such conflicts can have profound consequences, including loss of lives, displacement, disruption of livelihoods, and a sense of insecurity.
She has suggested that the administration under the governance of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, will work as a team to address these challenges, it is crucial for relevant authorities and stakeholders to work towards promoting dialogue, understanding, and peaceful coexistence among different communities. Initiatives that foster conflict resolution, improved security, and equitable resource allocation can contribute to preventing further violence and addressing the underlying issues.
Ambassador Dr. Filister, along with other officials and advocacy groups, will play a vital role in highlighting these issues, raising awareness, and pushing for action to ensure justice and uphold human rights.
