THE AFRICAN FOREST AND MY ANCESTRALINHERITANCE:

Amb. Agim Godwin Apple,

Dedicated to the Late Forester, Mr. Clement Agianbekong Agim – Cross River State Forestry Commission, Nigeria.

THE AFRICAN FOREST AND MY ANCESTRAL INHERITANCE:

Right in the heart of Africa, where the trees stand tall,
Lies the African Forest, my ancestral hall.

A tapestry of life, a treasure so grand,
It’s whispers carry the wisdom of my homeland.

From the mighty baobab to the gentle acacia,
Each tree holds a story, a piece of our saga.

The rustle of leaves, the embrace of the shade,
In this lush paradise, our heritage is laid.

The forest is alive with vibrant colors and sounds,
A symphony of life, where harmony abounds.

The chirping of birds, the roar of the pride,
In this sacred place, our spirits come alive.

Generations before me, they walked these trails,
Their ancient knowledge fills the forest’s veils.

Medicine from plants, secrets untold,
In this sacred land, our history unfolds.

With reverence and pride, I claim my birthright,
To protect this forest, shining a beacon of light.

For it is not just mine, but a legacy we share,
A precious inheritance, a gift beyond compare.

The African Forest, my connection to the past,

A sanctuary of peace that will forever last.

I stand tall as an ambassador of this sacred place,

Preserving its beauty, protecting its grace.

So let us cherish this ancestral inheritance,

The African Forest, a symbol of resilience.

For in its embrace, we find solace and worth,
A testament to the richness of our Mother Earth.

The African Forest and my Ancestral Inheritance.
